A woodie is a type of car body that consists of wood framing covered with plywood on the interior and exterior. It became popular in the United States during the 1930s and 1940s. It is often a modified car that was originally a station wagon, pickup truck, or bus, with the roof and rear door replaced by a wooden top and a wooden side panel.
